Default civic b18 turbo should i be scared?

Me and a few civic fan boy freinds are going to start a few sprints and drag runs next year there main goal is to beat me on track and drag. My freind has brought a coupe b18 and putting a turbo on it in the next week or so he reckons he will be running 300-350 whp im at around 280-300 on td04. Should i be worried what you guys think?

Get them to do it on a cold wet day and you'll be laughing.

If that civic will produce 300-350 whp I would say do a standing start.
Those civics will still have spinning tyres in 3th gear.

And what is the point of beating a almost stock Impreza with a high tuned civic.
I would be rather embarrassed to have that civic and almost been beaten by a 280 bhp Impreza.

On track it is just a case who is the best driver.

I dont think its that obvious. Iv beaten sti's and evos in my wrx. Iv seen a few civic turbos barely keep up with sti's then others obliterate them. So much fighting talk goin on at work now ha

Hi there

You should be OK,but there is few but
We are running on EP3 turbo, now making at 15psi(1bar) 350bhp and on meth 382bhp,I would say in dry car is awesome, but in wet or when is outside just bit wet,you can't put this power on road, because front wheels starts to spin in 3rd gear as above and is bit dangerous, although we are running through Syvecs Traction Control, but this doesn't helping alot

If you are thinking to drag then, not sure, depends on tyres what he(B18) will be using and if he running LSD,better tyres and LSD will helps on the drag strip or track, but I know from personal experience, car can be really fast on the road, but on track or drag strip will perform totally different

You will see there and I wouldn't be scared, this depends on several factors there

Thanks,Jura

People, especially the Yanks, seem to use WHP and flywheel hp interchangeably. A scoob needs serious modification to take 350whp (420-470hp), more so a Honda IMO - You don't just buy a car and start pushing near 500hp the next week. I would say he'd be lucky to have 300hp, even if he had more I wouldn't worry as it takes real skill and a TON of practice to launch a high HP FWD car, it's not something you can pick up in an afternoon.
