Default Reflowed injectors?

Hi,

I have a 09 Hatch Sti.
Im going to be looking at buying some injectors after christmas.
Im after something that will see circa 450bhp.

Ive heard that the reflowed are not as good as proper branded injectors as there just de capped and they may not spray evenly.

I was going to buy a set of reflowed 750cc off ebay for £175 now im in 2 minds.

What do you recommend?

Ive been looking at Deatchworks top feed 750cc bosch ev14 injectors can get them from usa for around £250

Cheers Jamie

The real question is do you want to trust some cheap ebay item with the safety of your engine? Lets face it if they are not up to the job it could wreck the the block. So save about £300 and maybe pay out £2000-3000 for a decent rebuild. I would only trust injectors that had been modded by somebody like lateral.

Even then when I asked about modded 440's they could only mod them by a lot not a little. And the lot was over kill for what I wanted. So I decided to go with with proper 550's.

Thats what i mean mate. Proper branded ones like the Deatchworks injectors should do the job fine..

Im not trying to get around buying cheap reflowed ones. Just seeing what the general feeling is as i know a few lads have got reflowed ones

I am sure reflowed are fine if they are reflowed for the right CC for what you need and it's done by a decent company who have tested the flow afterwards. What you don't want is somebody who doesn't really know or care what they are doing just trying to make money.

Also I was told that some mappers wont map reflowed injectors so may be worth checking.

De capped injectors don't have the fine mist spray pattern as the caps have been removed, they will flow more without the caps but me personally would want perfect fuel atomisation. IMO your better off buying proper bigger cc injectors, like the ones mentioned throughout the thread.

I run Denso 750cc Injectors in my hatch, I got them from a supplier in the good old USA. Unfortunately he's stopped trading in fuel injection parts
