hi all i bought an engine a while ago as a spare but i cant remember what it is (turbo 2000/wrx/sti) is there any way i can find this out by the 2 numbers (1 long number where the block splits and a number begining A******) on top as i want to upgrade/tune it for a project im about to start??? ive phoned subaru uk and they said they will only give the information to a registered subaru technician?? i then phoned a subaru garage and they said speak to subaru uk, i expained that i had first so they then took my number and said they would phone back but nothing

also the heads have the numbers 006/007

or does any1 know how to decode the numbers on it if they can be decoded that is

any help in this matter would be appreciated

 

Post some pictures up of the engine - makes it a whole lot easier.
