Default Stock Oil Pressure Light...Whats Parts Involved?

Hi guys,

I am going to be replacing my oil pressure sensor (just under the alt) due to it being knackered I think but I was just wondering is there any other parts of this low oil pressure system that would be worth looking at replacing if the sensor doesn't help?

Do imprezas have sender units for this or is it literally a single wire from this sensor to the ecu or dash which in turn brings the light on?

Sorry for sounding like a newbie lol

Ta

It's just that switch and the wire as far as I know. Unless you actually have low oil pressure.... but if it was low enough for the switch to go on your engine would probably be dead.

Thanks mate! I have a flickering oil light on ign and sometimes on a warm start up but not cold which is weird. I though of replacing the sensor first but wasn't sure if there was a sender as stock too.

Get the oil pressure tested and check the oil level carefully.

Warm start is when the oil is thinner so MORE likely to show a light.
