How the hell am I trolling? I ask you a simple question whether or not your current turbo is front entry because if you try to fit a top entry TD05 you will run in to intake component compatibility problems. Plus, the top entry turbo is thought not to be able to draw air in as well as a front entry simply due to the right angled intake. And yes, the turbo will go on, yes people have done it, yes it works. If you hadn't been such an *** I might have shared how I get on when I fit a TD05 to my V3 engine (front entry).

Plenty of people have done it, it's not hard to do. Figure it out yourself.
The answer has already been posted.

hmm common sense says 90 degree is what angle of entry ?
And trolling because you didn't read my post.
Ej20Ks are front entry like every other Subaru from Mid V3 (seen some post about right side entry V3's though never seen one)
Since I already have a V2 TD05H I am trying to figure out how to use it.
Retaining the side entry. Which would allow me to retain my stock power steering pump.
Converting it would cost as much as a new (used) front entry one.

Second, I did read your post and pointed out you can buy front entry housings for TD05's to make life easier. You chose to ignore this. Again, are you the troll?
Third, if you know so much about which turbo is fitted to which model and version number, why are you on here? I've seen right angled TD04's with my own eyes. Is it impossible that they could have been fitted to the engine you're asking about at some point? Maybe the engine you mention was fitted to other models than the Impreza with different turbo setups?
Perhaps you could start the thread with more detail. Tell us what car you have, what type of existing turbo, what you're actually trying to do and how you want to try to do it and so on.
I merely came along to see if I could offer any help, maybe even share some knowledge and like I said share my experience carrying out the very same job you are asking about. But, you don't want to listen and already know it all anyway.

? Ramblings of a mad man... lol
Anyway. To my OG post.
I haven't found 1 case of a side entry being used an a 20K and after much fiddling I came to the conclusion that it isn't possible using a standard setup. Just not enough room and a nipple int he way.

You really are dumb, aren't you.
All you need, and was stated in the second post, is a converted compressor housing.
Seriously, **** off back to NASIOC. You're just too damn stupid to help.

Know what I hate?
People who are told to read the entire test before they do anything and immediately put their name on it. Only to find out they failed because it says not to.
I did not ask HOW to use my side entry turbo.
I simply asked IF anyone had. No one who has replied has. So why would you post to a thread asking if YOU have when you haven't?
FYI - I just purchased a side entry TD05H because its was less than $100 (US) difference than just the housing.

And then just sell on your existing top-entry for minimal pain to your wallet (who knows, you might even flog it for more than <100 bucks!)
Job done... QED... etc....
