Default td04 max boost

Hi all i have a gb270 with a td04 . Was the max boost a td04 will flow . In psi . Or bar

i believe its 1.3 bar

I think you can run up to 1.6 but you need an up-rated actuator for that, although it may start to run out of puff at around 1.4.

As said above it will supply 1.4bar easily but does run out of steam at higher RPMs. Speaking from experience too.

Ive got a forged actuator . And its worth me getting it mapped then . As the ppp map the gb270 s come with its pants me thinks . Its hitting 1 bar 14.4 .psi . ish and then tails off to 12 psi .

Isn't the GB270 a 2.5L if so I would just opt for a vf48 from the 2.5L STI, may as well make the cost of a re-map worth while.

My TD04 runs at 1.1bar but is on a 2.0L, it's fine for what I want on the road.

Im trying to keep the car original Ish lol but want it to drive a little better

It won't drive better with more boost on that tiny little turbo.
Leave it alone and enjoy it for what it is.
That turbo is better suited to a 1.6 than a 2.0, let alone a 2.5!
