Best using the one from amazon, its crushable and seals perfectly. And yes change it everytime or you will have an oil leak. Genuine subaru ones are best.

Speak to Alyn at AS Performance - he's on here.

Great guy, he sorted me out yest with 5ltrs of Millers 10w50 CFS Nanodrive, 5 litres of Millers Gearbox Oil, and a litre of Millers Rear Diff oil.

He does all service parts, such as filters, and gives fantastic advise!

Just to confirm you don't have to change your oil sump washer every time you change your oil, 4 Subaru's on and i've never changed a washer to date, and never had one leak, as long as the condition is ok and you have tighten it correctly you will have no problems

I also have a spare magnetic one, let me know how you get on with it not used mine yet

I been using my magnetic one for 3months as soon as i got my car first thing I did was oil change it works good I dint change my washer because the one I ordered was metal it was repelling against the magnet think I need a copper one I had a feeling not to use it so I dint. its not leaking so all is good I hope .

I'm sure I got a replacement washer included whenever I bought a new filter, so don't see why you would not replace it!

Let's face it, if you recycle the washer and it leaks... The only way to replace it is to drop all of your oil again which seems like a waste of £50 to me for the sake of a 50p washer...
