Default SACC3465 - 99MY/00MY Sigma ECU ?

My car seems to have given in to the dreaded 'mobile phone mast' syndrome, where the immobiliser can't be reset without the keypad in the glovebox.

If anyone has any leads or ideas to getting hold of new-old-stock of the above part number, please let me know ASAP. Finders fee available !

I think it will almost be impossible to find a new ecu of that part number as earlier in the year they discontinued them in favour of the Sigma M Series conversion kit
SACC3465A M-SERIES CONVERSION KIT (ECU) = £126.06 plus vat

And depending on what fob you have these will need changed to suite too

Thanks - do you know any more about this or have any links as the Subaru dealer I asked (just for a new 3465) said discontinued and didn't mention the conversion kit.

Any help appreciated!

Your dealer should be aware of the parts bulletin issued earlier in the year. I work for a dealer in Cumbria and have done only a couple of these conversions

There are 20 conversion kits in stock in the uk

Gonna sound pretty stupid but have you tried changing the batteries in the fob

phone masts have been about a long time since 99 so i doubt itd just start happening 15yrs later

Bought the car a month ago from someone who lived 2 hours away - literally in the middle of nowhere and worked local to where he lived.

Car is now living within 300 metres of both the biggest phone mast for 30 miles and the Central Police station.

Know the previous owner and that he's genuine when he says he's never had an issue. Too much of a coincidence and the symptoms fitted exactly to the old threads. (Had already put new duracells in both fobs)

Thanks for this. Would you know how much your dealer 'roughly' would charge to do the other bits as the one that's an hour from me has said £126 for the part is correct, but its another £510 for new fobs, labour, siren and installation.

Apparently you can't just re-programme the ECU like you could with the superseded 3465 part as it basically brings it up to an 08MY alarm?

I've family near Blackpool so it would be worth combining with a trip if its a different story up in Cumbria. Let's face it, its ALWAYS cheaper up north.

Thanks

Police Control room will possibly be the culprit. I know for a fact in the car park of the local Police HQ where there control room is based my sigma alarm remote in my MY00 will not work.

I would bin the system totally. Who reacts to car alarms anymore anyway? The car already has a transponder system which works off of the chip in the key. Can be bypassed with another transponder and key set but then you have the steering lock to break etc etc and I doubt anyone would go to all that trouble for an old car.
