Default Power sterring hose change

Hi All

The soft part of my power sterring hoses are close to leaking. It is close to the turbo, and are not protected proberly from the heat....

Need to change it.

Do I buy a complety new system, or can I change only the soft rubber hose?

Thanks

If the fluid sprays onto hot exhaust parts it can send the whole car up in flames so get it sorted asap. I personally don't like the way Subaru put those lines within an inch or so of the downpipe.... They should have a metal heat shield section near the turbo?

The pipes are one piece so you either need a complete new pipe or take the old pipe to a place that makes proper hydrolic hoses and get them to replace the rubber section.

Beware that the pump to rack line operates at a massive amount of PSI (more then anything else on the car). Normal hose or even decent braided hose and fittings are not up to the job and should not be used.

The return feed is lower PSI but I would still use proper parts.

The main problem with this stuff is that the fittings where the lines go into the rack are very hard to get to!
