Undo the pinch bolt & remove open the hub slightly keep spraying & tapping
Rost of ice works well on the rust & will penetrate

Just got to keep at it m8 /

The best way is to build yourself the pulley shown on the link:

http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulle...73-post10.html

And youse a blowtorch to heat up a knuckle. First soak the ball joint in wd40 and put pulley on and put some tension on it, then heat up the hub ( be reasonable, if you heat it too much you can destroy hub as it is a cast, or bearing) then just finish with a pulley until it will not pop out.

You talking about the front lower hub ball joint to hub? When I changed mine I split the hub from the arm with the ball joint still in the hub, loosened the bolt holding the joint in, drilled a a hole in a price of steel, put the ball joint through the hole do the nut up and hit the steel bar with a hammer and it pops out
