Default Subaru fuel pump

Does the Subaru fuel pump give any signs as to when its on its way out?and is the forester turbo fuel pump off the W reg model the same as the Subaru classic

Not in my experience. Had two pumps fail and they both retired when the car was unused in the garage, and having given no warning that they were on the way out last time the car was in use.

I was looking at this pump

but the woman I messaged on ebay said if I had the pump holder that matches this part it will fit .Ive never had the old pump out.The forester has done 155 though I feel it has a flat spot sometimes on acceleration up a hill for instance and I do plan on having my car mapped

Looks the same as an OEM part, but can't be absolutely sure from that picture.
