Well the power steering still works an the wire does come out the power steering pump just wounderd what the wire does an wher it goes to thanks
It plugs into the loom. Unless of course your car originally had a pump with no wire and then somebody fitted a pump with a wire in which case there is nowhere for it to go. I don't know what it does.... surely all it can be is a low fluid warning light?
The wire is there to control the ECU and raise revs slightly at idle, next time your at idle, turn the wheel and when the wire is connected, the revs increase slightly, without it, they dont, its not a major thing if its not connected, but it is nice
