HELP! Forged pistons and head indentification??
Evening all, cut a long story short. I've got hold of an engine from a friend that was an API build with forged pistons, sti9 crank and rods plus full acl bearings and a rotated 35 running 525 horse.
I've pulled the heads off this eve and I'm just trying to establish what actual forges pistons are in there etc and what the actuall heads are??.
It came out of a version 7 Sti bug and what I cannot make out is it looks to have AVCS heads but no avcs pulleys? So just norm pulleys put in avcs heads?
Here are the pics and let me know your thoughts.
Many thanks for your time.
Chris

S20C semi closed deck block.
Wossner forged pistons +0.50 oversize so 93.00mm in size.
STi V7~8 AVCS heads and pulleys ( inlet avcs pulleys in the backgound of pics 4+5 ).
Looks like the engine has ingressed something due to the pock marks on the piston crown in pic 3.

Many thanks for your help guys, the marks that show up on the pistons are where there covered in wd 40 so the writing shows up to photo graph it.
