Default Replacement of Original Knock sensor on classic

I suspect my knock sensor on my 95 wrx may not be working as it should, so, do i buy a brand new pattern part for £15 to try and see if it resolves what i think is wrong, or do i buy a genuine one for £58

reason i ask is, with knock sensor, are the pattern ones really that bad at £15 as i cant see what can be wrong with them if they are new !?!?!?!?

cheers

As the OE one is only £58 which is pretty cheap for a genuine Subaru sensor I would get that. Cheap sensors seem like a good idea but most people who use them find they don't last long.

Just me but I'd get a genuine part...at £58 can't be bad..

Think I'd just get it cause it can save a lot of money if other cheap one fails and engine goes bang....

43 to a few grand
