oil catch can/ separator/ breather plumbing
can anyone give an actual definitive way this should be done
i found it a headache and left it in the end when i had my cosworths
as my subaru is a track car though and i have seen my check light flash a few times when on track which denotes knock i want to eliminate all chances of lowering my fuel octane and breatheback as possible by fitting a proper oil separator
whats best though
vent to atmosphere
back into engine
2 port
3 port
2 x 2ports
this is becoming a propa headache
do i delete the pcv or not
pictures and evidence or links to back up you opinions would be appreciated
cheers

im thinking and after a bit of research
from both heads and crank so 3 ports into catch can and remopve pcv
1 port on can to atmosphere and drain back to sump
i do understand a certain amount of vacuum is needed so can see the argument for a twin can set up but as this is a track car id rather remove what i can from the inlet
what are your thoughts?

All discussed here. I have plumbed my system as stock with adapters to measure pressure and vacuum. I will be testing soon to see what the system does.
