2.5 pistons
hi guys i am new here
and wanted to ask if any cheap better pistons for a 2.5 block 05-07 .
i got an engine 2.5 block with 2.0 STI newage heads ,mdx321 turbo , pink injectors ,decat up-pipe,full miltek exhaust with sport cat and in 2 week going to be fitted to my wrx wagon bugeye .
will be fitted all engine loom and converted to STI avcs plus ECU remaped at about 350 360 bhp and very good torque. i can t wait to drive it
))
as i read and know 2.5 pistons are not very strong and wanted to see any recommendation for a good set of 2.5 pistons with or without rings .
thank you

Plus many more.............
Many many types that are all good when suited to correct application, some are noisier than others due to clearances.
Get in touch with any of the builders on here who should all be able to help you out.

Mahle get my vote and for the power/torque you are aiming for, the 4032 grade would do the job just right - nice and quiet from cold unlike the CP's which are often described as " a skeleton *****ng in a biscuit tin " when cold.

Omega here
honestly
Correct Unless the OP is planning to have the heads machined to suite.
I run Mahle 2618 high compression pistons in mine. Now its got a good few thousand miles on it there is a bit of piston noise when cold but next to nothing when warm.

i havent looked into all the options but of what i have looked at Wiseco's from across the pond seems cheapest. if i forge mine thats probably what ill use as they have a good rep and have been around for ages over there, maybe lesser heard of over here though.

That's £320 PLUS import taxes of approx $144 (dollars) so we shall call it £80 for arguments sake so that's £400 which you can purchase pistons here for less or near enough same money imho (obviously brand specific), and that's if you don't still get hit with some kind of charge.
And Maz I won't forget the name of them after the head scratching that day you took me out
got there in the end tho
that RB5 was fun

"No additional import charges on delivery.

Why list them with a price and then have the taxes underneath? Confusing if you ask me

Best of luck anyway buddy
Nah no import tax. On eBay it will say you might get charged if its normal international shipping but sellers that use the international seller program or whatever it's called then you get listings like those two where theres that bit above the shipping price that tells you that you won't get hit with import duty. Trust me, I buy nearly everything on ebay lol
Yes they will, you just need to get the gaskets right for the correct CR. The smaller o.d. on the 2.0 heads do give a small step in the 'squish' area, but ive found that it makes little/no differnce. Ive tried them machined out as well.

I've bought from us before now and some have made it through easy enough and others get stuck in customs.
The ones I always found got stuck in customs were sent with the American postal service iirc which 99% time turned up with parcel force who just love to shaft you
its hit or miss usually but if you see listings on ebay with that bit saying no additional import charges, etc. then they are using the international seller program or whatever it is and you wont be hit with import duty.
