Default Help! Stalling in neutral !!

Hi guys,
Well the problem has just started the car is and has even sat on the drive for couple of months I knew the clutch was on its way as it was slipping but I just put some shell v fuel in because I wanted to move it quickly to put a another car in the drive and it started fine, got the revs up a bit to pull away and then in neutral the thing stopped like it stalled, so I turned it off turned it on and again ran then stopped, then I tried with clutch in and ran fine until I released the clutch,

What the hell has happened?!

What car and year bud?

Possible NPS sensor? Have no idea being honest but know it can cause problems when it plays up as it may not be seeing the car is in neutral?

Odd one that?
