Probably posted in wrong section but every 4k sounds good for oil and filter.

The book says 7500 for classics and 10000 for newage - all depends upon how you drive at the end of the day

Mine gets done about every 1500miles, which is about once a year

Newage

If you drive it hard or do lots of short journeys you'll need to reduce the service interval...

Like I say, it depends how you drive - if it's like miss daisy or it's stolen your better safe than sorry, if you drive it normally, always (or nearly always) fully up to temp and allowed to cool down afterwards you'll be okay for a bit longer

If you're worried change it, decent oil and filter is only about £50-60 anyway and significantly cheaper than a new engine

I use Silkolene Pro S, speak to Opie Oils about which grade as it depends upon what you use it for but 5w-40 is a reasonable general purpose grade
