Hi folks. I'm currently running a Simtek on my00 with a top mount ic. Running mafless and replacement the sensor has been drilled into the top mount. Adding a few parts prior to going for another mapping session. Just wanted to know if I fit a front mount, is it just a matter of drilling the sensor into front mount core or into one of the pipes?
I would place it in the intercooler/throttlebody connecting pipe, throttlebody end. The reason it's in the TMIC is it's the nearest best place to the throttlebody.
Not sure how essential it is TBH.

It needs to be as close to the throttle body as possible. So either weld a boss on the pipework, or you can buy one a silicone joiner to go between the throttle body and FMIC pipework with a boss moulded in ready for the sensor
