Best Oil?
Hi, I have a 2005 Impreza Wrx, its done 65k miles. A previous owner has put an induction kit and exhaust on the car so it has a bit more power than the standard and is running at 255bhp.
Can anyone recommend the best oil to use. Have seen several different suggestions, Im wondering what would be best.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Gulf Competition 5w40 is a very good oil. I use it in my Spec D all the time.
Not cheap, but then you get what you pay for. Perhaps a bit overkill for a normal WRX, but yours has a few gentle mods.
Have a look here for fast / reliable delivery :

As long as the viscosity (SAE) is the correct one for your car via your manual and it is API certified it doesn't matter what you choose, they all have to conform to the industry standard.
I would say choose fully synthetic on turbo Subarus though.

Hi
I would use a 5w-40 synthetic.

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul 300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XF Longlife, Fuchs GT1 XTL/Supersyn, Gulf Formula G, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.
Cheers
