Default Cruise and Hill Start Issues - WRX Hatchback

Hi all,

I have an 08 WRX hatchback and currently have 3 issues:-

(1) The hill start light is always on to indicate it is turned off and will not turn on. This is not. Major issue though I feel may be linked to the other issues.

(2) The cruise control does not work - the "cruise" light illuminates though it will not set at any speed and hence never kicks in.

(3) The clutch pedal seems to "pop out" an extra inch or two some times. What I mean by this is that most times it sits at its normal level, though if you put your foot behind it and give it a slight pull it will come out an extra inch or two and when you put your foot back on it it clicks back to previous level.

The car apparently had a new clutch recently, though from what I know of the previous owner he would have gone cheap. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

8ulldog

brake or clutch switches would be my starting point as the cruise isnt working, and the cruise uses both these inputs, and the hill start again would use these.
