Default Sqeaky Belt, but which one?

Hi, when my car is cold I've got a sqeaky belt at low revs. The other symptoms I have are when turning at low speed and revs, my steering goes stiff and the handbrake light and battery light come on briefly on the dashboard. The squeeling belt seems to stop when I move the steering as well.
So I'm just wondering, is this the alternator belt or the power steering belt? What would be the best belt to change first? Help!!!

Both they are cheap and easy to change, do the power steering fluid as well.

Will any power steering fluid do or is there a certain type I should get? Same question for the belts or do you think they might just need tightening? Its coming up to 90000 miles now so I know the service is due but I think the belts were replaced not so long ago.

if its the same as a classic which im guessing it is then they are both the same belt. the other belt should be your air con. tighten it up if it is slack or if its old and stretched you may need a new one. also check your fluid, should just be general ATF if i remember correctly

Cheers, I'll have a look into it. It's due a service next month but I'll get them done sooner rather than later.
I presume it will be the belt that is causing my steering to go stiff and the lights to come on?

If the belt is really loose and as a result the pumps losing power due to it then yes it would make your steering stiff, otherwise it'll be fluid or pump trouble. not sure on the lights to be honest.

By the symptoms. It is the ALT belt. this belts drives both the ALT and PS.

Goodyear gatorback 5pk890 will fit. Easy to fit to.
