Default Rolling Road Decision

Ok guys. I know theres some interest in organising a Rolling Road Day again for the start of next year however everyone is unsure on where to go so in the interest of fairness Ive decided this will be settled via a poll. So Ill run this poll for a month which will then give me enough time to organise it for all the members

I'll attend but won't be rolling. I've heard surrey are losing their premises in a few months?

As I've never put a car on a dyno (loads of bikes though) I have no preference, just intrigued that we have to go so far. Are there no centres in Essex?

Torque developments around the back or Lakeside shopping centre have a Dyno. Its one where they take the wheels off, and bolt onto your hubs. Supposed to be a lot more accurate, but as far as I know, power runs are well over a hundred quid.

No doubt a more accurate reading but a hell of a lot more setting up involved, hence the cost

So, what is the going rate for a run then?

I've been there and voted for them. Not sure I would trek the 125 odd miles round trip on the M25 to Surrey RR when there are suitable venues much closer.

Agree with you there but would like to get mine on the rollers maybe if we can get enough Essex members this side of the m25 we could go there if this is ok with outer members and if this is not stepping on any ones noes so to speak

You've obviously not been to Hayes?
They deal mainly with EVO's Tuning, mapping, builds etc but RR all cars. they have a wall showing RR results from EVO's GTR's, Imprezas, Hondas etc
Put my STi on the rollers there as part of a Fiesta ST RR day and yes, it was the most powerful (embarrassed if it wasn't!) and it was nice that my sons GF got just under 300 with her supercharged Festa

You might want to speak to Charlie @ SRR before planning too much, as they have to leave their current site by March, so could be moving in Feb.

Bump this up a wee bit.

I'm really not bothered where it is, always found Eurospec an enjoyable day without issue so seeing with Al's contacts there. see no reason to change.
