Definitely selling up
Hey guys. A few things taking place in my life at the minute so I am trying to cut a few distractions.
To cut a long story short I have baby number 2 on the way, we are moving house and I want to change careers as well as start a new business.
My wagon is a beautiful joy to drive, I use it daily and I love it. Fuel is no drama for me either. However it is a big distraction in that I'm always tinkering. My days of running 2 cars just for me are long gone. I want a luxury daily (Merc), which will allow me to realise a dream of building a V8 Datsun over a few years.
My car is a 1999 Turbo 2000 Wagon.
Few mods/ enhancements/ jobs I can think of.
1. New discs and pads all round, with new 4 pot refurb with parts from Godspeed.
2. Bilstein suspension. Lowered about 20mm and handles beautifully.
3. Full geo by skid marquees.
4. STi intercooler.
5. Host of Samco hoses.
6. Correctly fitted and wired gauges (water, oil temp, oil pressure, boost) - ProSport.
7. Short shifter.
8. Cusco front upper strut bar.
9. Decat downpipe, H&S tailpipe heat wrapped etc.
10. K&N panel filter.
11. Regularly serviced - I have all receipts.
12. Ecutek TEK 1 ecu with licence.
13. MOT July 2014. Tax will be renewed in Aug 2013.
14. Front components mounted on mdf and sound deadened doors. Rear coaxials also on mdf. Sorry didn't get time to finish sound deadening but sounds good.
15. Pioneer new head unit with Bluetooth, 2 x rear mounted USB, sd card and app support. 3 pairs of RCAs.
16. Walbro fuel pump.
17. Lots of other bits and pieces that I have forgotten. Some of you have seen and heard this car.
I know the pics show the silencer bung in, but I have taken this out just so people can hear it for test driving purposes etc.
I have a couple of boxes of spares such as 3 port boost solenoid, switches, dash cubby hole, oem downpipe, brand new nuts bolts and gaskets etc.
The bits that I should let you know about as a matter of cause and courtesy.
1. Tiny bit of rust (around 10mm at bottom corner of rear left door (I think the door scraped a curb when opening).
2. The car has had 6 owners. This really gives some people sleepless nights, but fortunately I can back up the good care by the detailed service history including receipts for all work carried out, including essentials such as cam belt. Just like me, the previous owners really looked after the car.
3. A few car park dings but no scratches.
4. Mileage is at 107k
It really is worth a visit, and a passenger ride or test drive.
As you can see the car itself has not had the looks changed.
It is blue. All arches intact with no rust.
Will post pics later.
Any interest please contact me but I'm in no rush until new year. I will let it go now for a good offer.

Ok people here are some pics. I figured out how to do a series of them with my iPad.
Rc gasket replaced
Private plate not included
New brakes
Old brake pistons
New pistons fom Godspeed
Intercooler
Gauges
Full geo set up at skid marquees
I'm sure there are more pics. All the necessary work that needs doing has been done.
I recently replaced the rocker cover gasket as a matter of cause. Service being done again this weekend. Cam belt was done 10k ago. The car is just a joy to drive, but I need a bit more luxury so I can concentrate on a proper project. I want this car to go to a good home. I have no intention of breaking it.
There are no silly mods or graphics on it. I do drive it in a spirited fashion occassionally, but not like a loon. I am mechanically sympathetic.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
Cheers.

Hello Goose. No, that's my mechanic Mike.
I saw you yesterday on the A127 on my way to see a friend in Romford.
You are correct, I am black ha ha. Nice car you have.

Thanks fella. Yeah she is lovely, but I have my heart set on a Merc V6 or more likely Lexus IS300 Estate (if I can find one!).
Hope she goes to a good home.
