I've just recently changed the plugs and leads on my car, changed to Prf7b and magnecor leads. Its now got hesitation on boost, I can only think that the plug gap is off on one or more of the plugs, coil pack seems fine. Anyone tell me what is the ideal gap for these plugs? 1997 type r

Mine are gapped to .65, think they were about .8 out of the box.

If you run much above standard boost then 0.65-0.70mm However, it shouldn't hesitate on 0.80mm with standard boost. Put the old plugs back in to see if it improves. If it doesn't, suspect the new leads!
Pity you're a fair way from me as I've got a set of used PFR7B that I know are good, which you could try.

Hi John its running 1.1bar boost, I could swap the leads back over, try it then, if its still happening get the plugs out check the gaps or use the old ones, bit of messing about

I, in my frozen state believe I hadn't nipped up a plug, so I re checked them for tightness and took it for a run, it's still does it but not as bad. I will have to check the gaps or change the leads. I will probably have Duncan have a look over it and tweaked on the rollers

Might be an expensive exercise to have a mapper say he can't proceed with the mapping because of an underlying fault although he should be able to tell which cylinder(s) is the culprit.
