Error code p1507
Hey guys,
Matey has just rung me up saying he's having issues with his newage bugeye.
He's having strange revs at 2000 and also a funny idle, (going up from 500 to 750) so a bit up and down, and in general running lumpy,
He's got a code reader after the EML has come on, and come up with the error code "P1507".
After having a little look this could be an issue with the Idle control valve or a couple other things.
just wondering whether or not anyone could shed some light on this issue or if anyone has had this before?
Thanks in advance.
Jack.

Sounds like the idle flap is probably gunked up. Remove the 2 screws from the top of the throttle body and unplug the plug. Remove idle control valve. Inside there is a flap that should move freely. Its probably gunked up with oil residue. Give it a good clean with WD40 and make sure the flap moves easily. The small electric motor can also be removed from it to aid cleaning, just 2 screws. You may have to soak it over night in engine degreaser to get it totally clean. HTH.
Yeah that's what i was thinking and saw on other topics Eric, thanks for the info though.
Haven't you got to be careful when removing the screws also? Heard someone say that these aren't the best of screws.
Thanks,

The gasket is rubber and can be a pain to get back in as they expand. Maybe worth buying a new one before you do it. Or you can bring it to me and I'll have a look.
Hope that helps.
