newbie from harlow , essex
hi all ,
my name is steve , 38 from harlow , essex
just invested in my first classic subaru
got to say i am well impressed with the car , ticks every box for me
my passion is old skool fords but as they are well out of my price range now i thought i would get something with as much fun factor but with the added bonus of modern engineering , coupled with a turbo and 4 wheel drive!
had it a couple of days and already wish i had got one sooner
my car is on a 98 plate s registration
turbo 2000 uk spec
full leather interior which is mint and sunroof (no air con)
body color is silver , debadged
lowered on all round , not sure how much but its low...lol
super stiff suspension with 17" sti alloys
turbo back japspeed exhaust with 5" backbox
as i am new to owning a subaru i was advised by a good friend dave ford to join up on here for the best advice on keeping my new investment on the road to enjoy
would be cool to meet up with a few of you who are local to me and maybe get to a few meets over the next couple of weeks too
i also run modelmotorvation which specialize in custom 1/18 scale diecast custom parts , so looks like i will soon be adding a few scoobies to the ever growing collection

Welcome along mate. Dont worry there is plenty of owners still about Essex. You just missed our monthly pub meet but you also have the Southend cruise once a month as well.
Nice looking car mate.

the car is very clean for its year , the only thing i need is a new roof lining which is proving a little hard to find as mine has a sunroof , so anyone that comes across one or knows where i may be able to get one please let me know
will defo be up for the club meets too , i already attend a few of the essex classics club meets with a friend of mine david ford who used to have a bug eye scooby, but now has a very very clean mk1 fiesta some of you may even know dave, he is from chelmsford

Oy! - I'm still here............
If you are still parking in CL Tesco's when I'm shopping myself in there - I will stroll over and say hello...
A few of us have changed cars, but we are all still members of the club... Scoob's get under your skin.. hard to let go....... doesn't matter what other car you have, you stay a Scooby lover for a long, long time...........
Besides - members of the ESC are worth their weight in gold whether you still have a Scoob or not...........

i know what you mean looie , was the same with the old skool fords i used to own once you have them you never stop loving them
one of the best things about owning something like the subaru's is the community that grows between the members here on the forums
look forward to bumping into you in cl mate defo come and say hello
my little one goes to cl sckool so often pick her up when done early at work
just showed the wife this thread and she was shocked that the car has already been noticed and mentioned on here in harlow....lol

Didn't see ya......... had a wander round the Disabled area, but obviously not the right time........... went for fuel and watched out while waiting, but nothing........ another time probably...
If you see a white Octavia VRS (Got my Scoob plate on it - T20PPP) floating around - give a flash! - It's the only white Octavia VRS in Harlow, so not gonna be confused with any other!
