Under the drivers side dash you will find two black plugs, male and female. Plug theses together and turn on the ignition. DO NOT START CAR!. When you turn in the ignition you the cel will flash fast then slow I think it is. Two fast then three slow for example is 23. If you google or search on here you will find a full list of fault codes.

Hope this helps mate. I have heard of obd's not linking as common issue is broken wires or corroded connectors. Good luck.

OBD readers just dont work on pre 2001, so all classics. Not because of any faults, its just they are not OBDII compliant.
The green connectors are the best way.

Takes less than 5 mins mate. Just beware people always say green connectors. My 95 wrx only has 1 green plug and two black plugs. The two black plugs did it. My missus 2000 sport has two black two green. The black ones worked, the green ones seemed to just keep clicking a relay some where behind the dash. Hope that makes sense.
