So - Who had fun in the snow this morning...?
Don't know how far across Essex the snow went this morning but in the Harlow area it caused mayhem.........
I went to Epping whilst it was coming down quite hard, only to find the Tubes not running, and now I've got rid of the Scoob and got an FWD car, the wheels were skidding all over the place trying to get back up the hill out of the station.... along with everyone else... even the 4wd cars were having a hard time.... snow on top of sheet ice not good for grip whatever car you have... missed having the Scoob in those conditions though...
Took me 3 hrs to get back to Harlow (only 9 miles) - was going to use the main line overland instead but with traffic gridlocked, I went back home instead... ventured out again at 11am once the snow had stopped, only to find everything still crawling along at a snails pace , so gave up again and stuck the FWD into the garage... (especially as it''s dropping to -4, or more, tonight)......
So - who else had fun today?

Took me an hour to do about 3 miles on the a12 this morning because a lorry couldn't get up a hill! Had some fun before that, but a rwd hilux just isn't the same as my beloved scooby.

More chaos than fun. M11 south rigid artic in the outside lane, car stuck in central res and crawled across to Enfield to start snow ploughing on my tractor.
Using the Mrs' diesel wheel spinning in forth at 30 brown trousers time, still just the ice to contend with tomorrow

caused mayhem for me this morning, had a bit of fun although was stuck in traffic most of the time.
3 hours to get to work (usually takes 45 min).
Had to go down a country road to cut off the standstill. note that i saw three cars on this one back road in a ditch in seperate areas. Thank god for my awd
Had a nice run in after the traffic, i'm usually going through braintree (standstill) witham (standstill) and round maldon area(standstill).
There's driving safe in this weather and there's driving like a complete numpty and doing 2 mph on roads that aren't even icy.

Larry had a few envious looks today.
Can't think why.
Having to get used to being overtaken by everything apart from a parked dustcart all year it's nice to get a bit of street cred at last.
