She's Gone.....
She's gone..............
Took her to the dealer this morning.......... who were really happy to get their hands on her (I think they have someone lined up for her already).......... I doubt they will have her very long...
In the meantime - I bought this....
Front View:
Side View:
Not as fast as the Scoob, but even as standard the 0-60 is 7.2 and it's (limited) top end is 150, with 200bhp......... (Petrol by the way, with a 6 speed manual gearbox).
Basically it's with a Golf GTI engine, so tuning is fairly straight forward once I want to go that route - AMD in Thurrock seem to be a specialist on the VW/Audi/Skoda Group stuff and it appears to be a simple operation to take it to 250BHP, so I might do that in the New Year....
One thing that is really noticeable is how quite it is! - makes a bit of a change from the Scoob, although it's not the same going through a tunnel....
Not decided if I want to put my private plate on it (T20PPP), or sell it to a Scoob Enthusiast.. will have a think on it......... it's on retention at the moment, so no time pressures on that one but if I get a good offer I might take it...
It also means I have a few Scoob wheels to clear out of my garage, so I may put a thread up about those once I've got them photographed... Gold ones, Black ones, Silver ones....
Even tough the old girl has gone, I'm staying in the Club - so you will still see me out and about at Club stuff and on this forum........

Now I understand how the Essex Skoda Owners Club is plausible!
Thats a nice one matey, was in a diesel VRS last year and the pull on it was amazing with four people in it.

bad times mate - i'll keep my eye out for you, and leave you for dust when i go past lol :-)
My mrs has the 2.0T engine in her Audi - its a cracker and nice and torquey, also sounds nice when pressing on. Dont expect a great increase in economy over the scoob though, she gets around 28mpg, and rose to 34 on a recent trip to somerset, and your new ride looks alot heavier than an A3.

Lol...... I'm not daft to try and keep up with your one.....
As to economy - well, no where able to confirm anything yet - still playing with it, but the local traffic recently has been way too heavy to try anything interesting anyway..
It can't be any worse than the Scoob, so "anything" is better! - I don't buy cars for fuel economy anyway, so after running my old girl for over 6 yrs on Tesco Super, anything more than 200 miles from a tank full is a bonus!
You won't miss me - There's a red one and a yellow one of these in Harlow, but as far as I'm aware, no other white ones.......... pimping here I come!

Looie,
Nice one... I've ditched the scoob too... better things out there to buy now
Get yourself a mobility badge for it and a metal RAC badge for the grille
Good luck with it

Very nice Looie.
And no fog lamp covers to worry about.
I took a "modified" VRS out that Porter's at Marks Tey had had a play with. Quite impressive & a bit of a sleeper.

Forgot to tell them that the fog lamp covers on her now are superglued in..... Ooops...
So far, well impressed - as long as it's kept above 2000 revs, there is a lot more ooomph than you would think.... already surprised a **** in a Fiesta St who wanted to sit on my back bumper, until the road was clear that it and he wasn't any more!
And it did it in 'almost silence' compared to the Scoob.... turn in very good with excellent feel coming through the wheel - the only downside so far is the spinning of the front wheels blasting out of T junctions, which of course the Scoob rarely ever did.... but I will adjust to that at some point...
New Year will see me at AMD I think for a 250+bhp remap which should make it "interesting".....

Now to see if anyone wants any gold ones.......... or silver ones!
Anyone whose got a wide-track Scoob with ET 114 wheels who wants a spare set of alloys going very cheap - PM me and I will let you know............
I'm also open to anyone buying my Scoob's number plate (T20PPP) so if anyone who has a Turbocharged 2 Ltr Scoob with PPP fitted..... wants a decent plate.. get in touch! - otherwise it goes on the pimpmobile in the New Year....
