Who runs a 2nd car?
So how many people use their Impreza as their everyday car? If you run it as your 2nd car, what is your daily and how different is it to the Impreza.
Reason I'm asking is I run a Ford Puma 1.7 and the insurance is up for renewal within the next few months and I'm starting to think is it worth it all? My daily trip is Basildon (1 min from the A127) to Southend (2 mins off the A127) on average about £50/£60 a week in the Dagenham Dustbin.

I've got a 13 year old Focus 1.8 that's been to the moon and back, saves loads on petrol and don't mind the odd door dink, worth it in the long run, its paid for itself about 3 times over in the 3.5 years I've had it and don't mind filling it with lots of cr4p!
Also got a works van which is really handy with keeping costs down too especially as my Scoob does around 20mpg!

Yup iv got a e46 320D for the commute. southend to basildon every day in stop start traffic at 48mpg on average.
im debating getting rid though and just using the scooby. surely when it comes to insurance tax mot and other general running costs it cant be much different.
i figured that to use the scooby its £100 a month more expensive a month. not terrible and im sure if i add it all up the running costs of the bmw will be more than this.
This really hasnt helped has it

I do 80 miles a day so really need a 2nd economical car!
I've got a 2002 1.4 Diesel Toyota Yaris, just filled up this morning and got 67.3mpg out of the last tank! £30 a year to tax and 200 notes to insure. It pays for itself every 6 months compared to using the scooby daily!

My main car is a pug 306d that cost 600 notes nearly two yrs ago has saved me thousands since. I won't lie its a real shed but then I don't have to pay to run it as derv is free and it still magically sails through the MOT

I had a Toyota as a daily drive when I bought my scoob. I had BMW before the scoob.
Sold the Toyota and used the scoob as a daily drive,
Then had a merc, then another 2xtoyota, recently a bunch of nissans. Honda Jazz in there somewhere, a Qashqai, renault etc.
Still kept the scoob though it all.
No intentions of selling her.
I am almost back to using the scoob as a daily driver. I have owned the same scoob for almost 10 years. Mostly miles of smiles.

I'm, usually, quite lucky in that I work on the same site as the Mrs and she has a VW Jetta TDi, considering we do a 90 mile round trip it works out well, unless as this week she has been in Liverpool for two days. That means using the scoob and loads of fuel

Ive got 2x fun cars, my daily whip is a 182 Clio...
It's better to drive than the Subaru in almost every aspect.
Subaru is great when you fancy a bit of poke, but my one has a substantial amount of poke that results in about 3mpg.
Couldn't afford to drive the impreza every day and wouldn't want to either.
