Looking forward to dropping in @ North Weald tomorrow for some easy going local motorsport.
Usually a very good mix of quick cars there.
Even the weather is looking promising....
Was a good event today.
I stayed until lunchtime then went off to watch the F1 GP.
The smell of burning clutches has now gone from my nostrils!
Watched 3 Scoobs; a Blob, a Bug & a Classic, all dispose of their opposition!
A real mix of motors from pure drag cars to stock road cars.
Plenty of Jap metal, Old Skool & new Fords, American Muscle, a couple of Volvo estates(?!), a few Audi's & Porsches (effective but just a bit tame!) and a particularly entertaining wheelie pulling Fiat 126 packing an MR2 Turbo engine!
Next ones are on 17th June & 19th August
Yes, the blue Bug was a Prodrive type.
I can't recall the plate.
Watched him beat a Skyline which was very satisfying!
Yes, queue for drivers was deep into the paddock & turning back on itself.
Yes the blue bug was mine done a couple of runs but the que was to long so I left about 1 to watched the gp
First run I was asleep 14.02
The second was 12.56 so I was happy with that so another reason to go home while it was still working
