Default Essex Subaru repairs?

Hiya

1st post in this section... I have a MY96 Impreza Sport (SOHC non-turbo)... I have a cambelt kit and waterpump that I need fitted to my car and I live in Romford, Essex

Can anyone help by recommending a garage to have the labour done at a reasonable rate?

Only garage so far is in Chelmsford which have quoted £116

Thanks in advance!

OK I have Chelmsford Carriage Company which have quoted £116 including VAT and I have have been quoted by Extreme Scoobies which hve done their best to match the price at £120 including VAT

As I have no experience with either of these places, could someone recommend one of these to go to?

Trying to save the pennies as my Scooby needs a fair bit of work (just had replacement driveshafts fitted on Saturday and need some welding on the rear ¼ panel)

Thanks!

Hi , I don't know Chelmsford Carriage co 100% , but I'm not sure they are a specilaist in Subaru. Extreme however are, and have looked after my Scoobie (and the 2 before) for the past 6 years or so , highly recomended on here. I would prefer to trust it to them for the sake of a few £ if it were me .
Hope this helps

Dave

This is them

http://www.chelmsfordcarriagecompany.com/

They say they deal with Subaru but definatly not a specialist!

I think I will go with Extreme, spoke to Paul there but only available next week... will let you know of my findings

Now I need to arrange for the welding as my rear bumper is being held on the drivers side with a screw through rust and some no nails lol

They're just a crappy used car sales place, you don't want to go there fella Been to look at a few cars there and I wasn't very impressed

Where abouts in romford are ya mate? Im in Hornchurch near roneo

You could try TDI in lakeside although they are extremely expensive labour wise or theres a place next to them called apc or something im not too sure (i havent used either) apart from TDI doing a head gasket check for me!
