Well in an accident they do
Coming home on the A127 this evening I stop at traffic lights just past Whalebone lane and WALLOP a P reg Honda Prelude decides he was going to use me to stop rather than his brakes
His car was emptying out the contents of its radiator and engine when I got out his bonnet buckled and both lights smashed
Land Rover - Broken Foglight I am getting it checked over tomorrow just in case
Cheeky bugger asked if I could tow him home !!!!

The model of disco you`ve got are certainly tough and it`s kind of a good result in a strange way. ( always better if it never happened at all. )
The newer the vehicle there seems huge amounts of vulnerable plastic shaped like and called bumpers. LOL
Glad you came off OK

Phil make sure you get the towbar checked for damage. I have had two towbars bent by cars hitting the rear of my truck. No damage to the truck but both times the towbar was slightly bent. And they were both Witter towbars so not cheap and cheerful. It`s amazing how soft they are.
If yours is the removable ball one should be alright but get it well checked matey.
You don`t want the colt overtaking you on the way to Oulton LOL

Phil,
Reminds me of the time I had someone in a Skoda wanting to go fully round a roundabout in the nearside lane, I was in the outside lane in my Pajero going straight ahead (dual carriageway) and I stopped on the roundabout and he carried on driving causing damage to his offside wind, taken his wing mirror off, damaging the drivers door (would need a new skin at least) and then damaging his rear passenger door.
I got away with 2 scratches to the front quarter bumper .

Last monday, I got on the A13 and had to slow down due to heavy traffic, next I hear a lot of screeching and when I looked in my mirrors there was a car with smoke bellowing out of his tyres and fishtailling towards me - he must of only missed me by mm's!!
Wouldn't of fancied his chances of hitting a Mitsy L200 pick up!
