You know it mate !!
Boat seem's to be losing a few knot's every trip as we get her "blinged up "
Oh you would mate ...
Got told off the other day by one of the regular ole boy fisherman who run's his own boat from Wallasea he's a right ole uncle albert type We passed him on the way down river , now we have 2 x 2.4m antennas on the roof rail one for the VHF radio & the other for the FM radio , now me being me had the swept back @ 45 degrees , well looks better eh mate
I was told to put them in the bolt upright position !!
I replied & said .. " but they look pants like that "
"But do you want the coastgaurd to hear you in case of an emergency ? "
Ok they are now both bolt upright , looks pants & sure we lost 5 knots by having them upright , but boy oh boy we got a great radio reception !!!
Still learning the ropes

Got told off the other day by one of the regular ole boy fisherman who run's his own boat from Wallasea he's a right ole uncle albert type (Sensible experienced fisherman) We passed him on the way down river , now we have 8 green neon lights, a disco ball, optics full of babycham and 2 x 254m antennas on the roof rail. One for the VHF radio & the other for the FM radio , now me being me had the swept back @ 45 degrees , well looks better (& i know dick all about boats)
I was told to put them in the bolt upright position !!
I replied & said .. " THASF'KIN SH1TBIGBOY!!"
"But do you want the coastgaurd to hear you in case of an emergency you midlife crisis plonker ? "
Ok they are now both bolt upright , looks pants & sure we lost 50 knots by having them upright , but boy oh boy we got a great radio reception !!!
