Default What have you all been busy doing this week ??

For me, I have problem after problem with things breaking and trying to fit in loads of work, starting Friday last week, I started the installation of these :-

As of today 21 of 30 are complete, over the weekend I should have a few more done .....

Last Saturday saw me over at Great Dunmow, installing 2 WeatherStops and Brush strips to a guys garage :-

After leaving and returning along the new A130, my van gearbox decided to mess around, I got back to the yard and couldn't leave, the gear stick had disconnected from the gear selector shaft, so, after a lift to Ford Dunton (useless place that doesn't even carry the most basic things as Nuts and Bolts !!), I used 1 part out of the repair kit to fix my problem, along with a nut and bolt I found that solved the issue.

A real up and down week for me this week.

How has everyone elses week been ?

Mine has been crap.

My manager has been away on a golf trip in Spain all week (paid for by the company) and left me to cover his work. Took me 4 hours today to insure 5 taxi's (have never done one before, and won't be doing any more!!!)

And my 50 minute drive to work has taken an hour and 20 mins every day this week.

i too was in great dunmow, installing some signs for an estate agents
then a sign and illuminated menu board in a stortford fish and chip shop, then designing and printing some custom motorcycle stickers for a trials bike, then a new website for another venture, some printed clothing for an electrical contractor, and thats about it... a pretty uneventful week, unlike others of late

Ummmm, where could I get one of these? That looks ideal for keeping the rain out of my garage

Thats exactly why I installed it, to keep his new shiny R8 nice and warm.

I can supply WeatherSTOP as I am an agent in this area

Iv'e been swapping my suspension out most of this week. The forester previously was on Impreza WRX struts and springs. But it was too low and I think the Foz is too heavy for the Impreza struts because the rear ones are knackered. I've changed the rears no probs (the Foz looks like a 70s drag racer at the mo.) but the fronts have proved impossible due to the lower strut bolts being tightened with an impact gun. After several days of trying with a 3 foot breaker bar and copious amounts of WD40, no luck. So on Monday I'm off down to my local tyre bloke who is going to losen them and then retighten them by hand so I can go home and finish the job... I hate impact guns.
