Default HELP!! ABS Light in France

Ruddy typical, currently driving halfway through France and the ABS light has just illuminated :-(

Of course I don't have my manual with me and in the six years I've had the car never seen it before.

Any ideas appriciated as I'm here fir another 3 weeks.

Thank god also for free WiFi :-)

Cheers guys :-)

If its ABS light, don't worry about it, your brakes will work fine, but under heavy braking you might lock a wheels, if this happens just release peddle then press again, under normal braking conditions you will be good,

Enjoy your holiday, and get it sorted when you get home, it could be an ABS sensor only.

I was in France last year, Subarus and Subaru garages are like hens teeth.

as above steve, it just means the ABS side of things wont work, the brakes will still work just fine.

have you tried an ECU reset? that might cure it.

Sorry Bez, but if you knew Tissy's job you'd find this funny too. Grandma and egg sucking spring to mind.

Can point to one of the sensors being damaged by a stone or that a stone has/is wedged in there?

Also he has some serious in car PC. So I don't think he'll need a laptop.

Will keep a look out on the next episode of "Intercepteurs de Police" for an erratic UK driver refusing to stop

Hope you get it sorted.

If both rear brakelights go out, youll get the abs light on. Worth a check.
