Tunnel run - Haiti Earthquake Appeal
Good afternoon lovely Ladies and... well, Gentlemen
The London/Essex contingent of the RX8OC are organising a tunnel run on 20th Feb starting from the Ace Cafe as an excuse for a bit of fun justified by a bit of fundraising for the people in Haiti.
Would any of you be interested in a joint effort to help us raise the nois... ahem... more funds?
All the best,
Crissy

Brilliant!
Btw, the car park at the Ace Cafe has been reserved for the event so none of this leaving our precious ones in dangerous spots!
I'll give you times, etc. as soon as I know.
All the best,
Crissy

Fantastic!!
The organiser of the event has created a donation page on JustGiving in favour of Medicins sans Frontieres.
Donations are not compulsory but it would be great if each participant could donate £5 as an entry fee for the event.
We are having a club meet in Barnet next Wednesday and all being well we will discuss the route for the tunnel run, if anyone has any suggestions feel free to put them forward as last year the route was disrupted by surprise roadworks and stuff so they ended up carrying out an impromptu photo-shoot with two young and glam looking girls they picked up at a petrol station!! We don't want that to happen again, do we??!!

yeah, I am sure you can do that. Naz has organised this run so am sure he will be more than happy to collect donations and then pass them on to MSF on your behalf.
I see on the Ace's website that we are booked in from 9 to 11 pm, if anyone coming from Essex fancies travelling in a convoy let me know. On this occasion I'll be in the butterfly-enhanced-RX8... as I am using up the allowed mileage on the Scooby at an alarming rate!!

Meet up at the Ace Cafe between 9 and 11pm when the run starts. From there we move East to take in St. Paul's, Tower Bridge, the London Eye and we end up at the O2.
We did a trial run on Saturday and the only tunnels I remember the names of were the Blackwall Tunnel, Westferry Circus and Tooley St. It's a good mixture of tunnels and sightseeing, hopefully there won't be a lot of traffic later in the evening

Just wanted to say thank you to the guys who joined us last night for the tunnel run. Hope you and your families enjoyed the trip around London.
Next time we'll do it when it's warm and there is no ice on the roads on the way back!!
All the best,
Crissy
