I know someone selling a bugeye that would be good for track, just needs a bit of weight saving, handling is already sorted

There was a white sti as you mentioned. Before the weekend and I had my eye on it 55,000 miles on it. but I can`t find it now.
Have`nt RA`s got low gearing?
Now I`ve had a look at a track day proper thanks to Kin very quick and the flying Budgie the racing bug/addiction has returned.

Not taking a thing away from Dunc, but think you will find the seriously quick scoobs are still classics.

I'm not going sea fishing, on the 18th Hopefully setting off very early to Hereford.

Yes, all part of the 'Race Altered' thing.

Lower gearing = better acceleration

Yup lower gearing. The WRX RA is bout 120mph once the 112mph limiter has been removed. Think the STi RA is a little longer. RA has closed deck block though

At snetterton we was reaching 120mph towards the ends of the straights.
So with better acceleration we would of been at top speed/revs well before the end of the straights.
Very frustrating I would think.

That all Duncan was hitting 160mph at the end of the back straight and I heard a mention of a certain green classic hitting 180mph

Go for a nice clean UK2000 classic Wagon mate

The price between 95's and 2000's isn't that much tbh and alot of the bits you want are already on the 2000.

Brakes are good enough with the right pads and discs, 440 injectors are good enough and can be made to flow more, turbo upgrade of course, service item upgrade like plugs filters etc. Larger STi TMIC. Ecutek remap rather than faffing around with new ecu's. To name but a few reasons to go for one

But on the downside, you start from 212 bhp and the gearboxes aren't as strong as an sti either so will limit you if you're going for over 300 bhp. It all depends what your budget is?

If you was planning on modding and spending some big(ish) money then this for under £9k would be a great track car.
