Yes no problem to do this. You can either buy an aftermarket one or get a standard one. You'd just plumb the return in to where it's blanked off at the moment. Is this on the cossie or the scoob? Have a standard pre faclift one in the shed.

The recirc part should still be there also, rear of engine blanked off, fit the recirc valve into the FMIC pipe work then connect to the existing (once blank removed) pipework.

You could also get your pipe ally welded and run without

Follow the dv back to the pipe in the square and the downward connection can be welded shut with a small ally disc. Your DV look horrible, but I guess you know that !

Or just get a plug to put in the pipe. Then you can always put it back on at a later date if you want to Block the vacum hose off as well. A bolt slightly bigger than the diameter of the tub normally does the trick

As mentioned above i've got a standard one in the shed for the early model. Want a deal on the vta? To plum it in you run the pipe from where it is now to the recirc. then out of the other side of the recirc to the off take on the inlet. It's the one with the small bung in just above the group of blue vacum tubing.

Remapping would be yes, FMIC and the induction will be costing you life expectancy on your current lump lol the temporary richness from running the VTA probably eases the lean

so will this stop the pops and bangs out the back it does run alittle rich cause when i had it in for mot it was showing it was running alittle rich will this bring it down to normal levels, i see what you mean now on how to run the recir valve starting to make sense,is that the best thing to do to have a recir valve rather than run nothing at all, also last owner must of had some sort of remap done cause ive had the car for over 3 years now and aint had no problems with the engine touch wood

Should be fine mate, but longevity isn't an accurate measure of being ok. It would be prudent to match your mods to a revised map not only for fuel mix but also the lag !

As a rule, re-circ is the best option and yes it will remove pops and bangs on gear changes, lift off.

Standard air box won't fit mate. You could get the air fuel checked by someone with monitor. ESL live is about £595 for a remap which would make the most of your FMIC though.

Mine before and after...(I am running JGM Simtek, so no MAF)
