June and July Poser's Run to Sarfend
Thank you for all your support and eagerness to grab a CD !
I checked each disc and they all run smoothly. If you experience jerky images and poor sound synch, you need to increase the size of the cache buffer, try your DVD player into the telly, etc. Microsoft default this to a low level - something like 1000 - 1500 will improve your system immensely.
With Gom and XP it is fine, I also run Pardus - a linux based O/S it ran flawlessly. If you are getting fed up with XP, Vista, W7 - have a look at Pardus. You can run it from the CD to try it out. It is very fast, comes with every basic proggy you need and IT IS ALL FREE. The thing I like most, it identifies your files and automatically loads the appropriate proggy. I was amazed that when I loaded some recent pickies from my camera, it told me the date / time, nothing unusual about that. It then told me the camera, the lens, the exposure time, 'F' number and even the extent of the zoom.
If you have any problems with the avi files - please let me know and I will try to help you out.
