Thumbs up Took delivery of my 09 model on Saturday ........

As some of you know, these where my wheels :-

And these are my new ones :-

Lovely Brembo Gold coloured calipers :-

Had a trip out on it Yesterday, and being the kind of person that goes for it ........

A little off

Just after it happened:-

When I got back home :-

Moral to this story is, if you don't have one, get a helmet !

Got to go and get my buckled wheel sorted out today now .....

After I have turned up to peoples homes looking like this to do some work.

I agree - a 'quick' xray should confirm all is okay - but better to be safe.........

I think you should get some practise in on one of these first

Nowt wrong with the riding, just 'mis-judged' a jump that came up on me, my weight was on the handle bars, when it should have been shifted back nearer the back wheel.

When I hit the summit (it was a blind jump), I just thought to myself 'this is going to hurt', the rest as they say, is history

Sounds more like you need a co driver with pace notes than stabalisers!!

Hope it doesn't hurt too much!

Me earlier today :-

When I crashed, my mate (Grae) had continued on the route, after around 30 seconds he started shouting for me, I wheezed "I'm off", he didn't hear, he called again, I wheezed "I'm down", he didn't hear me again, he called again, this time he heard me shout "I'm on the floor". As he came back he was cursing and saying "get up you fool, stop messing around" (as if I would joke ).

Anyway, after washing the dirt off and spitting the crap out of my mouth, he said he wanted a pic to send into a MTB mag, to win some goodies

Everyone I see, is wincing at me , and the thing is, as bad as it looks, it doesn't hurt......... The scrape on my shin hurts more

Ouch. Hope it all heals quickly. And Welcome to Team Marin

Not going to argue with the sense of wearing a helmet, but unless it is a full face down hill lid, your normal cycling helmet would not have made any difference to Nate, as none of the injured area's are covered by a helmet.

Judging by your previous performance I would stick to straight, flat paths until your current injuries heal at least..................then ask Pezza!

After seeing your modified mug today mate I doubt you did as I asked and went for an X Ray? TBH Nate your face is far more swollen today than the pictures show. Granted you're not in pain but your eye socket does look serious Fella, do get it checked out

On the upside the bikes OK

And you managed to scare the bejesus out of Sam lol
