depends where you buy one from

I recently got a gearbox from this Ebay trader eBay UK Shop - imprezabreaker: PREFORMANCE PARTS, BODY PANELS, INTERIORS , they were very very helpful.

Worth giving a call

Defo MAF, Xtreme's (and Mr Clutch) have them in stock, when we replaced our classic it was around £85 but make sure you JUST get the sensor NOT the housing as you can reused the existing one.

Another vote for the MAF based on the fact I had exactly the same problem 2weeks ago.
As Steve says £85 from Xtreme although I'd get your skates on as knowsley was getting low on stock and said "they're rare as rocking horse sh*t" at the moment

The charecteristics of maf and lambda are simalr, we have had both go over the years on lin's MY99, also had a lead breakdown too.

Some people have fitted aftermarket versions which are perfectlty fine albeit cheaper (which if the said no longer with us garage fitted is possible) BUT have to be modified to be fitted, we got a direct replacement tho.
