Default My new toy

Spally's old scoob has gone to pastures new, and has been replaced with a V2 STI:

It's in desperate need of a buftying session!! After some advice from 2 Clear buckets, I got a Meguiars clay bar, and only done a 6"x6" patch - Look and the colour of the clay bar!!! This is going to keep me extra quiet for ages!!

Plan of attack:

1. Clay bar whole car
2. Use Meguiars paint/swirl remover
3. Meguiars Carnuba polish
4. AutoGlymn Super gloss resin

Scatrat has been round mine a couple of times and he lives in Romford.

Thanks Andy! The car spent most of last year in bits sorting out all the little problems but it's running great now! Must admit I'm a little sad it went AND I'm missing the stereo!

Felt weird opening the garage and be greeted by the silver scoob!

Nice one Paul

Was thinking I recognised the plate as well.

What's the spec?

What plans you got for it.

Number plate, was going to get T555FFY but can't have that on the STI so looking at N555TFY

Wozzaa is designing the new Taffy Racing graphics.

The exhaust is a 3" system but is sooooooooo quiet, My Ranger is louder!!! so it's going to Hayward & Scott to have the silencers removed from the centre pipe.

It's got a half connected electronic boost controller(The standard Boost solenoid and ECU is connected), but will be taking that out.

The electronic boost controller will be up for sale soon when I remove it (I'm not a fan of them)

Blimey that's the most contamination i've seen on a claybar for ages! The megs quick clay kit will see you right though and leave the paint silky smooth in preparation for polishing AG egp with work well on the silver too

That was just a small section of the roof! can feel the difference though, just going to take time.

AG egp?

Yup will take a fair while to do and a few goes if it's got that much contamination.

AG egp is Autoglym extra gloss protection. It's the one that smells and looks a bit like thiners. All the bits you've listed above are polishes and don't offer protection. will give you a cracking shine but you need to seal that shine in. If you've not got any egp another one that works well is poorboys ex-p. got some spare if you need it / want to give it a go?

lol, devil car!!

It's running fine now, the car was in bits most of last year sorting out all the problems, all new turbo/vacuum pipes and coolant hoses, new water pump, new fuel pressure regulator, new spark plugs, new fuel lines, a bit of rewiring! SHouldn't have any problems with it now!
