My Mk2 Golf Gti's for sale (cheap!!) ---- Anyone interested??
Guys,
Just a quick post to see if there's any interest in my Golf. The reason it's going is because it hasn't got any powered steering and the 'ickle girl can barely move the steering wheel . I've already got a replacement so not looking for a PX.
The details:
1990 (H reg) 1.8 8v Mk 2 Golf GTI in Tornado red
135k miles (5k in the past year)
MOT'd **this morning** Now runs to the 30/6/2010
4 brand new Yokohama tyres on refurbished BBS wheels (done by JP )
Taxed til the end of the month, but can be replaced at cost price.
New rear pads fitted about 3 weeks ago.
Sun roof
Electric front windows
Fully functioning MFA
After market Air con fitted
Decent alarm & immobiliser (fitted by DKV - Frayz approved )
Kenwood CD/Radio (big bass box fitted)
Good interior (although small hole in the drivers seat)
Nb: The car was a Cat C write off, which occured shortly before I bought it. The damage was to the rear. The damage was so minor I've never bothered getting it repaired. Even the VOSA examiner couldn't believe it had been written off by the insurance company . There is also a very small dent to the f/o/s wing.
These are now going for about £1200, but due to the prevailing financial situation & the Cat C I'm looking for £850, which I think is a reasonable figure.
Piccies can be PM'd
Car can be viewed in Ongar, Epping or at the H/H meet if necessary
Cheers

Cheers Paul,
TBH I'm in a bit of a quandary. We need to replace Karen's Fiesta as well. She wants to get a Focus (not an RS ). We have spoken to a dealership and they are happy to take to Golf as part of the srappage scheme. Hence one of the reasons why I got it MOT'd.
My problem is the Golf is really too good to scrap, if it was an old rotter I wouldn't have such an issue. But if I do go down the scrappage route, it's worth £2K.
I'd rather swollow the money and see it go to a decent home rather then it going to the big wreckers yard in the sky
