Default Doesn't feel right

As some may know, I had my scooby stolen (and recovered)

When I got her back, I noticed two of the wheels were heavily kerbed and I got two new tyres, wheel balanced and 4 wheel alignment done at Elites Rainham, using the Prodrive settings (that were used before)

Now I find when I go round corners, the front of the car seems to 'jump' and the steering wheel wobbles quite a bit and the steering box makes a whining noise.

Do you think any other damage may have been done, and what should I look for?

Thanks in advance for any advise

Andy

doubt its the rack, more likely to be a buckled wheel or bent control rod...but that should have been picked up when the geometry was set up and tyres replaced.

Cheers Tony, I will be coming up on the 26th anyway for a seal replacement - please ask Graham to call me to confirm prices as I have left a message he may not have picked up yet.

Andy,

I'll think you'll be able to pursuade the insurers to pay to have it looked at. Get on the phone and say it doesn't feel right would they mind if you took it to a garage to get it looked at

I'm just swapping out my MY00 for a Spec C quick rack and they are chunky bits of kit so I'd expect the track rod arms to fail first...

Good idea Chris, however my insurance company dismissed my claim due to the circumstances of the car being stolen in the first place - I doubt they would be willing to pay ANYTHING unless they have to

Thanks for the post anyway

Tony/Graham - thanks for the offer and prices
