A13 was shut, East Bound at Pitsea, at about 3.00pm, was going to phone and warn you, but don't have your number.

Coming home from Laindon and the traffic coming off the A13 heading up Lower Dunton Road to the A127 was unreal, never seen it so busy, Glad I was going the other way!!

I bet THIS would take more than 40 minutes though

Lovely bit of countryside you have there. I used to play cricket against a school in Harrogate many years ago when I went to school in Pocklington.

Actually, there is a road all the way around Grimwith that would make a fun rally stage, but that route would need one of those Gibbs Aquada MX5 thingy's

You would have to stop & dry the plugs at least once or twice.

Would there have been a road there that was covered when they flooded the reservoir perhaps? I know they covered a whole village in the Lake District, roads houses & all.

Quite possible. There's the remains of the workers village called Birchinlee or 'Tin Town' underneath Derwent/Ladybower/Howden reservoirs which were exposed in the drought recently.

Likewise Andy.
I hope none of my kids get into bikes as there just appears to be far too many deaths on bikes these days.
