Hayward&Scott headers for sale
Anyone interested in a set of Hayward & Scott equal length stainless tubular headers? They are heat wrapped. Been on my car a few months but I've done no miles on them. They were MNeame's before me. £650 quid's worth new.
Callum keeps nagging me to put the "old noise" back on and Kelly drove the scoob the other day and gave me orders to get rid.
To be honest they sound the nuts when you wragg the sh*t out of it but I don't drive it enough like that any more so its time to get some normal ones back on.
Was looking for about £300 but it's negotiable.
Let me know if you're interested.

awesome bit of kit. gets rid of the pansey rumble and replaces it with a howl. have a remap after a set of these and you can get some awesome torque gains too.
dad's uk wagon has a set on it along with sti 5 intercooler, panel filter and full decat. gives 270 bhp and 280 lbft mapped on 97 ron.

Moves the spool point up a few 100 rpm, but once remapped delivers a huge torque gain, and a fantastic howl. As with all serious mods, it must be properly mapped to get the full benefit.
Spec C's, JDM's and all serious comp cars run equal headers.

No just the headers. H&S will sell you a flexi up pipe for about £100 but apparently they don't install them.
They suggested Xtreme or do it yourself when I enquired about fitting but I never got round to buying one. I'm sure they fit up to '06 mate.

These ones don't have the aperture for the lambda as far as I saw. Classic headers have the lambda where the collector would be just before the up pipe but these haven't. I had to put my lambda on the downpipe just where the neck bends downwards there was a thread with a huge plug in it.

I know they would say it cos they want to sell but they told me other flexi ones can be crap but their one is made differently so it works a treat. They say solid ones can crack or something cos there's no give for heat expansion and the engine moving under harsh acceleration???? Don't know about this personally cos I haven't got one but would be good to know which is best so I know which type to get.

I bought them intending to get the engine rebuilt and mapped etc over a period of time and they are spot on for that. However, I am now also into bikes and I am fighting hard to keep the scoob cos my better half says I can have one or the other.
I have since convinced her to let me get a faster bike AND keep the scoob but she drives the scoob from time to time and said I have to get rid of the headers cos she will only drive it with the normal burble noise. I'm probably going to leave the car in its current state of tune and wont really get the best out of the headers so they will go to waste so someone might as well have them for less than half the price.
I therefore need to get some unequal headers or she will put her foot down.
So there you have it. They work perfectly, still on the car, they are heat wrapped but they've got to go.

Plain and simple answer is I need to get rid.
