Just called to ask about a couple of bits that i wanted to sort on the scoob before it goes. As usual they want the chassis number. So i said i doubt it'll help as it's an import and i've not got it with me.

Aparently they have the import disk and he refused to try and find the part that i need without the chassis number. Glad to see the unhelpfullness of the parts department has transfered over from Days. I've had no problem with other manufacturers finding parts without a chassis number. Another reason to be glad to be getting away from scoobs.

I spoke to IM at length regarding Imports and thats why they now have the facility to order JDM parts via chassis number
This stops wrong orders which are costly to everybody

Surely this is an improvement?

Yes if you're after an engine / gearbox part maybe. Or a diff that has to tie up with the drive of the box. Which is obviously going to be a very expensive part. But for what i was after which is probably about £1, it wouldn't really hurt would it? Perhaps i expect too much customer service.
