turbo timer wiring help
just bought a turbo timer for my 96 uk 2000 gc8.
its got a rpm correction on it so will need to prob wire into the rpm sensor wire.
need some help with what ign wires to splice etc.
any help would be great guys.

cornelius might be able to advise you.
i disconnected mine. and now just poodle around off boost 5 mins before stopping. (saves petrol and neighbours earholes!!).

The easiest way is to get a wiring harness adaptor, this plugs straight into the sterring column wiring loom and saves cutting the wires, the turbo timer would plug straight into this.
I've seen 2 different types of turbo timer, one has a pressure gauge which goes to the turbo and the one which you have got which connects to the RPM wire on the ECU/rev counter. Both do the same job which calculates how long the engine should idle for before turning off.
I've got a turbo timer in my scoob, but rarely use it. As Dazza says, it's a lot easier to poodle around for the last few miles off boost to do the same thing.
I'm at work at the mo, but when I get home, I'll sort out a wiring diagram on where to hard wire it in

yeah your right.
this timers got a rev peak limiter and volt gauge as well as the timer.it came with a peak light too.
i do need to find the rpm wire though to make it all work properly.
